Ms. G brought us her 2003 Honda Civic hybrid with a check engine light on. When we scanned it, the problem was a wimpy battery – the big battery that makes the car go! The dealer said it would cost $3000 for a new battery plus labor to remove and install it. Sounded like a challenge to us, so we found an outfit in New York that fixes these batteries. Long story short, Ms. G is now back on the road with no check engine light, and a battery that is guaranteed for less than half the price the dealer quoted. Many of the first hybrids that were sold are going to be facing battery problems soon. We’re ready!
